Carrie Underwood is allocating the profits from Friday night’s concert in Des Moines, Iowa to a local charity. According to the Boot, Carrie had come down with laryngitis, forcing her to play an abbreviated set.
Mid-concert, Carrie told the audience, “I feel guilty about making money on this show tonight. So whatever I’m making is just going to go right back into this community, because I feel like that’s the right thing to do.”
Ticket sales for the show were estimated at $483,000. Saturday’s concert in Kansas City was rescheduled for May 1st. The Blown Away tour resumes tomorrow (Tuesday) in Memphis.
