In this week's live Top 6 results show - airing Thursday, April 11th from 7-8pm - FOX will present an on-screen double-box live camera feed of the show during a commercial break featuring official sponsors Ford, Coca-Cola and AT&T, a television first forentertainment programming.

When AMERICAN IDOL cuts to commercial break later in the show, the behind-the-scenes excitement will continue LIVE during the ad break, giving viewers an exclusive peek from backstage, the IDOL stage and the audience. The LIVE show content will appear on-screen simultaneously alongside each official sponsor’s commercial airing during the results show. Also, the official series sponsors will gain added exposure with on-screen graphics and wraps in these double-boxed commercial pods.

The "double box" keeps viewers connected to the story-telling of the program by giving the feeling of being at a live show, in turn keeping them attentive throughout the commercial pod and continually engaged with the larger window that features the advertising message.  Combined with the branding of the on-screen wrap, ad engagement is heightened over full-screen format, a significant benefit to key sponsors.

I'm not a parent, so I can't speak first-hand, but I've heard that it's not easy. But in my estimation, this is the best way to be a great parent: do stupid stuff with your kids.

Instead of trying to make sure your kids don't act silly in public, why not act silly with them?! 

Sometimes, my mom would do stuff like this at our elementary school music concerts. And at the grocery store. And basically anywhere. As a kid we thought she was the most embarassing thing ever. But my m mom always told me, "At least I'm not a stick in the mud."

In true "Pioneer" fashion, The Band Perry pushes the envelope once more and has become the first recording artists to have a Gigi's cupcake named after them. The new cupcake is called Very Perry Chocolate Cherry and was inspired by The Band Perry's new music - in particular, a song called "I'm A Keeper."  In the song, there is a lyrics that says, "I'm gonna change my name to Cherry..."

The Very Perry Chocolate Cherry combines two ideas that Gigi developed. The end results features cherry batter cake with chunks of cherry, topped with chocolate icing and a cherry on top. 

Gigi's cupcakes will be selling Very Perry Chocolate Cherry two days a week in all of their stores.

I saw this on Facebook earlier today...and it's probably one of those 'viral' messages that gets shared around the internet thousands of times a day. I have no idea if this is true or legit, but it's worth a shot, right?

"I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are paying up to $3.75 to $4.10 per gallon. My line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon:

• Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role. A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.
• When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast mode If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3) stages: low, middle, and high. You should be pumping on low mode, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some of the liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.
• One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL. The reason for this is the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.
• Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up; most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom."
