15-year-old Madison Wallraf saw a fire spreading at a horse stable in McHenry, Illinois on Wednesday. (--McHenry is an hour northwest of Chicago.)
--So she called 911 on her cell phone, handed the phone to her stepfather, and rushed into the burning building.
--She came back out with her horse, Red, but there were still 40 horses inside the 25,000 square-foot building, and no fire hydrants nearby.
--So Madison went back in . . . a DOZEN TIMES. Leading them out two at a time, she saved 25 horses. She got kicked in the shoulder, knocked down several times, and had to be treated for smoke inhalation, but she'll be fine.
--The cause of the fire is under investigation.
